RESERVE YOUR HOLIDAY GOOSE
A GOOSE is the epitome of celebratory fowl. And quite possibly the richest, most delectable roast bird you can eat. Our geese have rotated through our bottomland pastures, wetlands and riparian orchards foraging on a diverse diet of grasses, forbs, seeds, and fruits. Geese are unique birds because they can readily grow exclusively on forages. This makes them an exciting species to work with in regenerative agriculture. We want to help garner interest for these beautiful and absolutely delicious birds. We want y’all to try one!
So….
Our Geese are $15/# rotationally grazed in diverse bottomland pasture
and supplemented with minimal certified organic grains and seeds.
They are air chilled and dry aged for flavor and crispy skin.
$40/deposits to reserve your bird.
Target dressed weight is between 8-9 lbs per bird.

There’s a Dinner the following evening on Sunday, October 8 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Chef Mark Rosenstein will present a fall dinner featuring ducks and geese. Mark is known for his local and seasonal approach to food and his thirty years as Chef-Owner of The Market Place in Asheville. Seating is limited and priority will be afforded to patrons of Good Wheel Farm that purchased a goose. The dinner will be held at Wake Robin Farm in Marshall, NC. Wake Robin Farm is owned by Gail Lunsford and Steven Bardwell, who are founders of Wake Robin Farm Bread, The Asheville Bread Festival, and co-founders of Carolina Ground.
